Banker's Cheque

I just came back from HR of T*, sending my housing loan application.. hope that the loan processing won't take long..

uh, actually what i wanna share is that i was so suprised with the service of Bank Islam .. before sending the loan application, i need to prepare a banker's cheque for the processing fees.. 1 for me & 1 for hubby since we apply for joined loan.. the HR won't accept any personal cheque or cash so I need to prepare a banker's cheque.. usually i go to Maybank for this kind of stuff.. but since only Bank Islam seems the most convenience to me currently (only 100m walking distance), so I went there.. and it really suprised me that the commission for each of my banker's cheque is only RM1.15, really2 cheap as compared to Maybank's, which is RM5.00 minimum per transaction! (why am I so stupid before this??) I already made several banker's cheque with Maybank in the past months, with the looooong queue, had to pay for parking, really2 waste of my time and money! i hate this!

so, moral of the story, next time I shall re-visit Bank Islam for any official banking stuff!

Assalamualikum
terpanggil pulak nak mengulas.

Ive been using bank islam for such a long time even since i was with GITN for my "gaji" and so on untill NOW. So convinient + no this so-called-hidden-charge. No matter how many times u draw ur money from the ATM machine, im very SURE that there will be no extra charge (as for time being)and furthermore if u print the bank statement from the ATM Machine (selected ATM Machine only), there's no extra payment will be charged for that transaction.

I just use maybank to pay my hire purchase. I just go to the ATM Machine and bank in the money every month. That's it.
No more money in that account.
No more maybank.

I really dun support bank that makes money by simply charging people and then tell us (kitalah ni .... the users) that those charges are "bayaran perkhidmatan", "bayaran tu, bayaran ni bla bla bla bla". No wonder their profit is RM634.08 million for the second quarter ended Dec 31, 2005. (Eventhough they claimed that the amount is slightly lower)

(actually it was a mistake to use maybank when buying my car, maybe we can talk about it later la la la la la ... but what to do maaaaa).

BTW send my regard to Chot.
Habaq kat dia noooo.
Camne la gamaknye rupa ibu julie 511 - best student of MJSC Taiping ni skang.

*hoh panjang pulak mesej aku kat sini ... sorry ye julie, chot n aisyah (aiyah baby comei ni pun ntah bile la aku nak tgk).

that's great!...i think it's time for all muslim to support islamic banking system since it's the best for us...no more overcharged, halal, and most important, it is really meant for us...muslims...

do you know the difference between conventional insurance and takaful? i've been approched by a 'top selling' insurance agent of the largest insurance company (Great Eastern)...when i mentioned that i prefer the islamic one, he told me that both are just the same...the difference is just the terms used for each item...is that true?

ambitious, i am not very sure the differences, but i am certain that takaful is free of riba', maisir (gambling) & gharar (uncertainty).. and the main purpose is not for profit! it's more towards helping our Muslim brothers & sisters.. you are donating your money to a pool and the money will be used for those who need it.. you can read here for the explanation..

you can compare both kind of insurance from the reads..

i used Maybank only for daily spending, and the money inside there, mmg tersangatlah kurang... just for daily spending, others, I go straight to Tabung Haji for saving

haah, easy peesy. mana taknya tak yah beratur. duk kejap je nombor dah panggil. sekarang ni duit ASB transfer masuk bank islam temporarily. senang nak buat urusan bayar master. aku rasa kalau dulu bank islam ada kat menara kan senang, buka akaun gaji je kat situ
