my Cash Flow

Since my last entry is something related with money, I'll show my cash flow of every month and let's see where I can save more. Maybe I should cut down a few less important expenses (seems like all are important to me.. hehe):

Nett Earning = 2580 (+ nafkah by hubby & - KWSP/Perkeso)

Savings:
Kotamas = 50
Tabung Haji = 200

Expenses:
Car Loan = 593
Zakat = 30
Takaful Malaysia = 22
Takaful Nasional = 10
Nursery = 230
Food (myself) = 300 **
Touch'n'Go = 60
Toll = 60
Clothes/Shoes = 100
Fitness 1st = 121
Books/Magazines = 15
Aisya (clothes/toiletries/toys) = 150 **
Eating out/movie/etc = 200 **
Balik kampung/Give to Ayah = 150

Total = Savings + Expenses = 2291
Balance = Earning - Total
=2580 - 2291
= 289 (do i really have this amount at the end of the month??)

** I think these expenses need to be cut down 20% - 50%

In order to cut down my expenses on food, clothes & eating out/movies, I will:
- stop buying kain & tempah for baju kurung.. just wear whatever I have in my wardrobe and re-use my mom's baju kurungs (a lot!) after altering.. 1 baju kurung normally cost me about 150 (55 for the tailoring ) or maybe I should send them to a cheaper tailor in Kelantan (25-35 per baju kurung) if I really need a new one
- cook, cook & cook.. 2 plates of kue teow goreng eating out costs rm6 while cooking
it myself will only cost about rm4 the most!
- have less entertainment.. and read Quran more - full stop

kita nyer savings tinggi sket je dari awak..sometimes it reaches above 20%, sometimes lesser...but the highest expenses goes to car and house loan...kalo guna kancil leh jimat byk lagi wooo hehe..but there comes the debate btwn our own satisfaction and needs..kalo leh sacrifice satisfaction and just go to basic needs, we can actually save more isnt it? and guess what, kite nak dptkan kembali skill jahit baju kurung, nak blajar balik dr mak, so it can cutting down the cost of upah jahit! Sebelum tiba july kite mesti kena blajar..nnt dah start klas sure bz tade masa dah huhu

y@tipruzz said...

aida - ko tade wat budget camni ker? biar benar, apsal savings ko leh byk giler? ke parents ko dah menabung utk korang since kecik?

Anonymous said...

tulaa pasal.. aida bleh savings w/out buat expenses calculation.. gile hebat!

yati.. kitorang ni rajin balik kampung sbb tu duit tak banyak savings.. lagi satu slalu mkn dinner kat luar sbb lambat sampai rumah.. sekali makan sure rm10.. sebulan dah berapa.. padahal rumah takyah bayar sewa pon..

lain2, rasanya byk entertain adek2, nak itu ini.. sometimes diorang dtg kl kite kasik duit jugak.. blanje makan best2.. sian kat diorang.. yg kat UK tu lagi kesian, so kena laa kakak dia yg baik hati ni slalu hantar food; cili kering, ikan bilis, perencah2.. kite mmg takleh harapkan ayah dah sbb ayah kite keje sendiri, kalau keje ada laa duit sket.. duit pencen mak pon dia baru dpt.. dulu byk depend kat mak nye income.. adek2 pon semua kena jimat2.. baju pon jarang2 beli baru sbb ayah kite bukan jenis entertain anak2 beli2 baju ni.. awak untung mak dekat.. so, expenses utk balik kampung 1 side jer.. aida pon untung.. rumah mak dekat giler.. kite dulu masa mak still ada, every month kot balik naik flight.. hehe.. kite mmg suka sacrifice duit demi keselesaan.. maybe sbb dah keje kot, nak merasa duit sendiri..

insyallah thn2 akan dtg ni lebih jimat cermat..

a'aa baru perasan korang tade sewa umah..kite sewa umah ade loan umah ader...isk double tuh huhu

kitorang jarang blk kedah, kalo every mth blk mmg kopak la hehe

takpela julie awak slalu spend money utk adik2 awak, esok2 depa dah keje sure dibalas balik budi awak...sure jasa awak dikenang :)

kita simpan sesikit ok, lelama jd bukit :)

wokeh yati.. thanks.. at least kite sume cashflow +ve.. jgn sampai -ve.. pening kepala nanti..

betul la julie. kalau ada adik2 yg tgh belajar mmg rezeki yg kite dpt tu tak semua disimpan utk diri sendiri. share2 dgn diorg. monthly expenses kite x de portion utk mak ayah, tp kite salu balik rumah and at the same time support adik2 kite yg tgh belajar. bkn mak abah x cukup, diorg dua2 kije lagi tp trasa bertanggungjawab sgt. ada 3 lagi yg tgh blajar. treate diorg sekali-sekala tu biasa lah.

portion lain - loan kereta, maintenance kete, sewa rumah, house expenses (kite run the house sorg2..), insurances, saving and self entertainment sket (buku, movie etc). nak la kan merasa duit kite hasil penat jerih kije hari2. and Alhamdulillah, cashflow +ve lagi.

ha ah laa huda.. samelaa kite.. adek2 ramai camtu laa.. kite pon tak bagi kat ayah kite.. tapi kalau dia nak dtg kl kite support la..

k.su yg biasa jahit baju sendiri pun tak rajin nak menjahit...hehe..kalau bagi kain yg dah dipotong and soh jahit sambung sume bahagian tuh takperla..hehe..

juli, maybe you should increase amount of your current investment into takaful malaysia kot..that is for long term saving actually...why not you spend RM100-150 ker for your takaful malaysia..

takper..sekarang masa kita utk berbakti pada parents dan adik2..masa kita akan tiba jua nanti..insyaAllah..

Asalkan duit yg kita dapat itu berkat Alhamdulillah...

Kak su.. actually harituh julie dah simpan kat takaful malaysia amount 100.. tapi bile tgk balik statement, investment kat takaful malaysia tak banyak. Normally;

85% - akaun peserta (savings)
15% - akaun derma (insurans)

maknanya rm85 laa julie saving kat takaful Malaysia, tapi investment dia tak banyak keuntungan.. mmg Takaful ni tak focus on untung sangat.. so, lepas dah bincang ngan hubby, kitorang nak ambik yg ada akaun derma jer.. utk savings kitorang masukkan ke tabung haji/tempat lain yg lebih banyak % dividen.. hehe.. yg julie baru tukar tu dari pakej Takaful Sihat beserta savings ke tanpa savings.. rm15(basic) + rm7 (utk tambahan amount perlindungan rm10000)..

hmph, list down expenses mmg buat. selalu turun naik. bulan lepas byk sbb gi KK. nasib baik bulan2 automatik masuk TH

aku yg dah belajar jahit baju ni pun, malas nak jahit, thehehe..kena asah bakat balik ni.

julie, ttg islamic loan tu mmg sebenarnya still ada konsep riba. kalau nak tahu perbankan malaysia tidak diktiraf sbg islamic banking di Qatar wpun claim to be islamic banking.

apa yg aku belajar, ustaz kata nak elak riba - one thing boleh buat, konon pinjam 10K, then need to pay back dlm 11K (tu dah masuk ribu 1K). kira kita niat 1K tu as nazar/sedekah.

Anonymous said...

aini.. yang aku dgr ustaz dr takaful malaysia kata.. kat zaman rasulullah pon ada pinjam hari ni 10k bayar after 10 tahun 11k.. tapi bukan riba.. dia kata tambahan 1k tu adalah disebabkan nilai wang / harta semasa.. tu camana plak ek.. rasanya TM kena panggil ustaz bagi ceramah nih.. =)

azizi ali kata: minimize kan sebyk mungkin allocation utk insurance sbb bak kata julie, % keuntungan dia lebey sket...so better put aside extra money on other investment vehicle yg % keuntungan lebey tinggi, like TH, unit trust, etc etc...

insurance is a tool for self/assets protection, not investment.

unit trust pun ade yg syariah kan..kalau bukan syariah, dividen 14% but kalau syariah dlm 8% jer..itupun kena tgk jugak rasenyer..itu aper yg saye dengar tapi blum kaji kesahihannyer..

okies..saye takleh nak komen sgt pasal takaful since a lot of policy they are offering nowadays.
it depends on your interest.

skang ni aku -ve cashflow..
qz +ve cashflow..

-ve x +ve = -ve
-ve x -ve = +ve

haaa.... kene -ve kan cashflow qz ni!

Anonymous said...

bkn.. unit trust pon dividen bole naik up to 20%, the diff btw conventional unit trust and islamic unit trust is that, in islamic unit trust, the fund manager only invest on profitable companies approved by syariah.

contoh, public ittikal for the yr 2004, dividen around 25% n that figure is more than double the earnings gained by conventional trust i.e aggressive fund, small cap bla bla. so it doesnt mean islamic fund cant go higher than conventional.

n yes, aku agent unit trust. hehe. jom la invest ngan aku

aida said...

jlie, nnt aku listkan.. boleh gak share. tapi mmg duit dalam akaun maybank cukup makan jer laa..

TH is the way to go!

Anonymous said...

-vekan qz nyer cashflow?? tak berjaya kot.. hehe

ayil.. kalau ko dapat customer dari sini, 1st 2.5% ko kena bagi aku.. ahahaha.. tuh laa.. org suh buat blog bukan utk jual rumah jerlaa.. aku dah masuk unit trust ngan tapai.. tapi tak disiplin lagilaa simpan.. tgk aa nanti..

aida.. thanks.. aini dah bagi dah semua info pasal IGD.. insyallah ada duit aku invest..

wow, good discussion. kawan-kawan bleh share tak where can we invest & get quite good return? So, bleh la aku tutup ASB & transfer duit2 dlm tu. Currently, saving aku hanya dlm TH, ASB & ASW.

Ummu Auni said...

julie, kalau zaman Rasulullah SAW dulu, they used DINAR. which does not contribute to inflation happening nowadays. sbb duit emas stabil. yg inflation sekarang sbb kita guna FIAT MONEY. duit kertas yang sebenarnya hanya dicop/cetak nilai ke atasnya.

yg 11k after 10 years tu, mungkin dibolehkan atas dasar fatwa yusuf qardhawi (sehingga menimbulkan kesukaran kepada si pemiutang untuk mengutip hutang)

cth konon buat bayar 3 kali bila org tu berhutang dgn kita. likewise, org tu sgt susah bayar hutang dgn kita, habis kos kita telefon minta hutang, lepas tu gi jumpa dia (transportation cost). maka dibolehkan kita menambah lagi kos2 tersebut kpd hutang dia terhadap kita.

kita kena ingat Islam mmg mention riba haram dan menggalakkan penghutang byr hutang kpd pemiutang dgn kadar segera.

p/s fatwa yusuf qardhawi, aku ambil dalam buku fatwa dia yg ada kat rumah.

kalau tak faham, leh tanya ustaz fardhu ain kita org :)

aku agent unit trust gak... tapi jangan invest ngan aku.. invest ngan haji ayil!

oi ayil.. update aa blog!

to FARRADASMILEY, actually kalo dah ada ASB, ASW dah x perlu dah. Lagipon dividen dia rendah jer. However, since both are not syariah approved counters, baik akak invest kat TH jer semua. HIGH RISK = HIGH RETURN. Tp kalo dalam islamic unit trust tu, risk n return tu moderate. Quite a safe way to invest ur money...

untuk bakal pembeli or pembeli2 rumah, kalo ikut kata Azizi Ali gak, dia pesan jangan beli se'MAKSIMA' yang kita bole bayar bulan2. Coz nanti dalam umah kita nak kena bali perabot n macam2 agi...lagi beso umah, lagi banyak barang...
